She married her life partner, Fredrick, in 1971 shortly before he was sent to Vietnam, and became the most amazing mother of two after he returned. She began her career as a bank teller and was promoted to management in a short amount of time but found her niche in mortgage lending where she spent over 30 years helping people finance their dream homes. Barbara was a kind, loving, and generous woman who was very proud of her Cherokee heritage, loved horseback riding, traveling the country by motorcycle with Fred, sailing Lake Erie, and was a wonderful artist.

She was born in Pyrites (St. Lawrence County, NY) on May 30, 1937, daughter of Harry and Bernice DeCarr Hoffman. Patricia grew up in Port Leyden and graduated from Port Leyden High School in 1955. She was united in marriage with William Jackson on June 25, 1960 at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden. Patricia was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base for 20 years and also at Community Bank in Boonville and Lyons Falls retiring several years ago. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Constableville where she served as Ecumenical Minister. She enjoyed helping out at the meal site in Lyons Falls, walking and singing in the Adirondack Community Chorus, bowling, reading, crocheting and a love for animals.

Throughout their marriage, they crisscrossed the US in their Motor Home enjoying wildlife photography in natural habitats. Upon retirement, they were fortunate to expand their travel and love of wild places to include international destinations. Dr. Pugh was the first Veterinarian for the ‘Gulf Breeze Zoo, where he spent many hours caring for Exotic animals, while at the same time tending to his own practice. Many of his patients went home with him for extended overnight care.
On Saturday, December 17, 2022 Mary Jane Wagner Godfrey, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Florence was a resident of Pensacola, Florida for the past 18 months where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Ana and Bryce, and her great-granddaughter, Isla Capri (her “GiGi”). He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ione Wells, his brother-in-law, Lyle, as well as several dear friends. Gracie M. Everett, 90, gained her eternal wings and went to glory on November 19, 2022, joining her loving husband in heaven. Gracie was born in Crenshaw County, in the community of Dozier, Alabama. She graduated from Crenshaw County Training School and continued her education, attending Alabama State College, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She met and married Ferby Everett, moving to Niagara Falls, New York and later to Pensacola, Florida.
